When the MSOP program was first launched by the government in 2003 Dr Perera was approached by the area GP’s and the area health service to provide a much needed endocrine service. He under took this challenge by providing fortnightly endocrine clinics in Lithgow also servicing the adjoining areas such as Bathurst and Mudgee.
